and that's what I've been doing these few weeks I'm at home and quite contented to that. Anyways.
Finished with Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James and I can say it was a fantastic reading! And to finish it under a few hours is an accomplishment for me, ladies and gentleman. I am not a fast reader, but this novel definitely got me hooked up until the very end. I just couldn't stop reading. It's light, it's funny and it's definitely witty. A worthwhile read if you're into romance, of course. In this case, a legal romance which makes it much more interesting and trust me, it was. I was surely skeptical at first with this particular novel as I always do with new authors that I've never tried before, but the perception changed as I progressed further with the book and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the whole reading process.
On the not so bright side, I'm still not finished with The Devil Wears Prada (Lauren Weisberger), which is kinda a disappointment to me. I started reading it like hmmm 3 or 4 days ago maybe and I'm still reading it now. This is so frustrating! The story is great, I like the way Weisberger crafted her words, simple enough to get you interested to continue reading but is not downright insulting to your intelligence. However, there's something about the story that I don't particularly like. Maybe the story is just too malicious for me. Miranda Priestly is just mean though she does possess a great fashion sense. Hmm..nil chance I'll be enjoying this novel like I did with Practice Makes Perfect, but it's not that bad also so I think I'll survive (but I did enjoy the fashion input, it was, how can I say this, informational? Lol. :D)
For the time being, I refuse to finish The Devil Wears Prada, so I think I'm going to continue my reading spree with this book by my favourite author, Sarah Addison Allen. So far, it has been a magical experience between me and her books. Love her, no doubt.
P/S: And no Faidhi, these novels are not for you considering that you and romance are not exactly on the same page. So nope, don't read all of these. Absolutely not your stuff.
